Ingredients:
  • 4 chicken breast, boneless, skinless
  • 1 1/2 tbsp paprika, sweet
  • 1/2 tsp salt, kosher
  • 1/2 tsp pepper, black freshly ground
  • 2 tsp butter, unsalted
  • 1 onion, red, thinly sliced (~2 3/4 cups)
  • 1/4 cup wine, white dry
  • 3 tbsp cream, heavy (35%)
Instructions:
  1. Cooking
    1. Sprinkle chicken on both sides with half of the paprika, then salt and pepper.
    2. Melt half of the butter in a pan over medium high heat.
    3. Add chicken and saute until cooked through, about 6 minutes per side.
    4. Transfer chicken to plate.
    5. Add remaining half of the butter and onion to pan.
    6. Reduce heat to medium.
    7. Cover and cook 5 minutes.
    8. Mix in half of the paprika, then wine and cream.
    9. Boil until sauce thickens slightly, about 4 minutes.
    10. Return chicken and any juices to pan; simmer to rewarm, about 1 minute.
